The sanded elder wood is glued with epoxy and fixed with epoxy compound. The entire structure is varnished with several layers of resin.
The elbow is decorated with electroplating (a layer of copper applied in electrolyte, then patinated and varnished with resin. Bohemian garnets and moldavite are set into the material of the elbow.
