Tepi Kuripe
About us
I have been making Tepi and Kuripe since 2018. I approach the production of tools for working with sacred medicines with respect and gratitude. In production, I use natural materials and if it is necessary to use glues, paints and varnishes, then if possible, I use those that are certified for contact with food and skin.
With my Tepi and Kuripe, I emphasize strength and functionality and I like to explore new possibilities. I wish that people who buy a tool for their work with medicine from me will get not only what they like, but also a piece of my respect for sacred medicines, a piece of my gratitude for the traditions of natural peoples and a piece of my prayer May all beings be happy.
Sacred natural medicines saved and continue to save my life. I continue on my medical journey and learn from plants and from the "old ones" who know how to work with them. And that is why I work with love.
"And what does it mean to work with love?
To weave a garment from the threads of your heart, as if it were to be worn by a being you love.
To build a house with sincere passion, as if it were to be inhabited by a being you love.
To sow seeds with tenderness and reap the harvest with joy, as if its fruits were to be eaten by a being you love.
To endow all the things you create with the breath of your own spirit
and to realize that all the blessed departed stand near you and watch.
I have often heard you say, as if speaking from a dream, "He who carves in marble and finds the shape of his soul in stone is nobler than he who plows the soil."
And he who catches the rainbow to transfer it to cloth that will please men is better than he who makes sandals for our feet."
But I say, not from a dream, but with the full consciousness of high noon, that the wind speaks no more softly to the giant oaks than to the smallest blades of grass.
And great is he who turns the voice of the wind into a song that is saturated with his own love.
Labor is love that is seen."
Kahlil Gibran
